Billionaire Russian Crime Boss Named to U.S. 10 Most Wanted

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation named a Russian billionaire crime boss in last week’s 10 Most Wanted List. Semion Mogilevich, who has been described as the most powerful and most dangerous gangster in the world, are wanted in many countries, where he has laundered money to finance his various criminal enterprises. In the U.S., he is wanted for orchestrating a scheme that defrauded investors in a company that he controlled more than $ 150 million. But it is only the beginning. FBI says Mogilevich is believed to have been involved in arms and drug trafficking, murder, extortion and other crimes both inside and outside Russia. Most recently the authorities believe he has been able to manipulate energy markets, take control of the companies involved in natural gas dispute between Russia and Ukraine. A Ukrainian citizen, has Mogilevich a graduate in economics from the University Lviv in Ukraine, which gave rise to his nickname “the Brainy Don. He has multiple citizenship, including Russia, and is believed to be living in Moscow. He was arrested there in 2008 on skattesnyteri costs, but was later released. Mogilevich, who is in his early 60′s, is about 5-foot-6-inches tall and weighs nearly 300 pounds. He has pockmarks on his face, may have a mustache, and is a heavy smoker. He is considered armed and dangerous. A reward of $ 100,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest.
